초록

We investigated the effects of bending stresses on the electrical and optical characteristics of the ITO films and the organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs) fabricated on the flexible polyethylene naphthalate films. The sheet resistances of ITO films were measured in the bent states and after releasing the tensile and compressive bent states. The sheet resistance of the bent ITO film increases with decreasing bending curvature. The amount of increase of sheet resistance was dependent on the upward, downward, in situ and released states. The increase of sheet resistance by the bending stress induces the decrease of current density in the flexible OLEDs. However, the amount of decrease of current density in the bent OLEDs was more serious than the bent ITO induced decrement of the current density, reflecting the degradation of interfaces and organic layer.
